We’re working with the Portuguese authorities to expand our community reach, and we’ll be launching new initiatives in Portugal soon.
Women in Tech >>
We rolled out our women in tech initiatives, as we have done for previous editions of Web Summit. These are aimed at groups of women who promote and support female leadership in all sectors of entrepreneurial life in Portugal. Web Summit has a strong commitment to supporting the empowerment of women, and our women in tech programme is helping to transform the role of women in the Portuguese business community.
Inspire >>
Our INSPIRE programme offers students the chance to access Web Summit for free. Since its kickoff at Web Summit 2016, INSPIRE has benefitted tens of thousands of students. In 2019, we welcomed more than 5,000 students in Lisbon and, in 2021, we hope to grow the programme by working with the Portuguese Education authorities. The programme is open to all Portuguese universities, and interested students can become part of the largest gathering of world leaders that takes place in Portugal.

Our developers ticket initiative is all about giving back to the community. We provide tickets to Web Summit for software developers in Portugal and abroad, giving them access to the event's talks, masterclasses, roundtables and networking sessions. It is an opportunity for developers to network and learn from CEOs and founders, top speakers, exciting startups, influential tech investors, and experts in their field.
