A growth mindset is a great way to improve your chances of making new connections. There are two different kinds of perspectives, as described by Carol Dweck. In her recent Ted Talk, she discusses how there's a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. Fixed mindset individuals find themselves focusing on what is rather than what could be. Growth mindset individuals are focused on how things could change in the future and how they can inflict this change.
By developing a growth mindset, you will be able to see more opportunities than you ever imagined. You will also find yourself with more gratitude for everyday experiences and potentially even thinking outside the box regarding business opportunities. There are so many positives to having a growth mindset for all areas of your life!
Be Positive and Opportunistic
In these crazy times, there's no telling where you'll be able to find business. That's why to be open-minded about business opportunities; you should focus on being positive and optimistic. You never know what kind of connections you will make or where they might lead to.
Worst case scenario, you don't make many connections that you can use readily shortly. However, there's a perfect chance that you will meet at least one good relationship that can help you implement further differentiation and improvements for your own business.
